Improper resource shutdown or release in Linux kernel - CVE-2026-72333
Published: August 16, 2026
Vulnerability details
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to cause a denial of service.
The vulnerability exists due to improper resource management in the Bluetooth L2CAP LE credit handling logic when processing repeated LE CoC traffic. A remote attacker can stream data to the host to exhaust the signaling identifier range and cause a denial of service.
The issue can cause subsequent L2CAP_LE_CREDITS packets to be sent with invalid identifier 0, which some remote stacks ignore, permanently stalling the channel.
