Vulnerability details

The vulnerability allows a local user to cause a denial of service.

The vulnerability exists due to missing release of allocated memory in btt_init() in the nvdimm btt subsystem when handling BTT initialization failures. A local user can trigger an initialization failure to cause a denial of service.
