Vulnerability details
The vulnerability allows a local user to cause a denial of service.
The vulnerability exists due to uninitialized memory access in damon_sysfs_scheme_add_dirs() when handling an internal error during tried_regions directory setup. A local user can trigger the error path to cause a denial of service.
The issue occurs in the DAMON sysfs schemes code path when tried_regions directory setup fails from the initial allocation.
