Vulnerability details

The vulnerability allows a local user to cause a denial of service or disclose sensitive information.

The vulnerability exists due to uninitialized memory in rpc_sysfs_xprt_switch_add_xprt_store() when handling sysfs input for transport creation. A local user can submit crafted input that triggers use of uninitialized structure fields to cause a denial of service or disclose sensitive information.

Uninitialized fields such as srcaddr, bc_xps, and flags may lead to unpredictable behavior depending on stack contents.
