Vulnerability details

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to disclose sensitive information.

The vulnerability exists due to improper access control in netdev_nl_napi_fill_one() when handling NETDEV_CMD_NAPI_GET requests from a child pid namespace. A remote attacker can issue a NETDEV_CMD_NAPI_GET request to disclose sensitive information.

The issue occurs because the reported NAPI kthread PID is returned from the initial pid namespace instead of the caller's pid namespace.
