Vulnerability details

The vulnerability allows a local user to cause a denial of service or disclose sensitive information.

The vulnerability exists due to an out-of-bounds read in fw_log_print_lines() when processing a firmware log with a size smaller than its header. A local user can supply a crafted firmware log to cause a denial of service or disclose sensitive information.

A zero-sized log can cause callers to loop forever on the same header.
