Improper locking in Linux kernel - CVE-2026-72063
Published: August 16, 2026
Vulnerability details
The vulnerability allows a local user to cause a denial of service.
The vulnerability exists due to improper interaction with a mutex in tegra_gpio_direction_input() and tegra_gpio_direction_output() when changing GPIO direction on shared GPIO lines. A local user can trigger GPIO direction operations while a per-line spinlock is held to cause a denial of service.
The issue can lead to sleeping in an atomic context.
Affected software
