Vulnerability details
The vulnerability allows a local user to cause a denial of service.
The vulnerability exists due to improper resource shutdown or release in setup_cn23xx_octeon_pf_device() in drivers/net/ethernet/cavium/liquidio/cn23xx_pf_device.c when handling a PF number lookup failure during device initialization. A local user can trigger the affected initialization path to cause a denial of service.
