Vulnerability details
The vulnerability allows a local user to cause a denial of service.
The vulnerability exists due to improper resource shutdown or release in imsic_early_acpi_init() when handling ACPI IMSIC initialization failures. A local user can trigger an error path during initialization to cause a denial of service.
The issue occurs when imsic_setup_state() fails after a firmware node has been allocated.
