Vulnerability details

The vulnerability allows a local user to cause a denial of service.

The vulnerability exists due to improper exception handling in the lpc32xx_xmit_dma() function when waiting for DMA transfer completion. A local user can trigger a DMA completion timeout to cause a denial of service.

The timed out transfer may continue accessing the buffer after an error condition occurs.
