Vulnerability details
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to cause a denial of service.
The vulnerability exists due to uncontrolled memory consumption in HostDB when handling SRV records. A remote attacker can trigger repeated SRV record processing to cause a denial of service.
The issue is caused by a memory leak.
