Vulnerability details

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to intercept or modify transmitted data.

The vulnerability exists due to improper certificate validation in Apache Ranger client code when establishing TLS connections. A remote attacker can present a certificate issued for a different hostname to intercept or modify transmitted data.
