Vulnerability details

The vulnerability allows a local user to disclose sensitive information.

The vulnerability exists due to improper handling of worker errors in rmi_f54_buffer_queue() in the synaptics-rmi4 F54 driver when processing queued V4L2 buffers. A local user can trigger a worker failure to disclose sensitive information.

Stale or uninitialized memory may be delivered to userspace if report acquisition fails.
