The vulnerability allows a local user to cause a denial of service.
The vulnerability exists due to a NULL pointer dereference in amdgpu_dm_crtc_set_vblank() when enabling or querying vblank through DRM_IOCTL_MODE_CRTC_GET_SEQUENCE before a stream is attached. A local user can invoke the affected ioctl in this state to cause a denial of service.
