Vulnerability details

The vulnerability allows a local user to cause a denial of service.

The vulnerability exists due to a NULL pointer dereference in the mmiotrace logging functions __trace_mmiotrace_rw() and __trace_mmiotrace_map() when handling mmiotrace events while mmio_trace_array is NULL. A local user can trigger the affected tracing functionality to cause a denial of service.

This can occur before initialization or after the tracing facility has been disabled.
