Vulnerability details

The vulnerability allows a local user to cause a denial of service.

The vulnerability exists due to unaligned memory access in the sht3x driver when processing sensor data. A local user can trigger an alignment fault to cause a denial of service.

The issue can result in a kernel panic on strict-alignment architectures such as ARMv5 or SPARC.
