Use-after-free in Linux kernel - CVE-2026-80683
Published: August 28, 2026
Vulnerability details
The vulnerability allows a local user to cause a denial of service.
The vulnerability exists due to a use-after-free in the Bluetooth SCO connection handling in net/bluetooth/sco.c when processing a disconnection event that races with socket close(). A local user can trigger a race condition to cause a denial of service.
The issue is caused by incorrect reference ownership between the socket and sco_conn object.
