Vulnerability details
The vulnerability allows a local user to cause a denial of service.
The vulnerability exists due to a race condition in dev_has_sync_state() in the driver core when checking and dereferencing dev->driver without holding the device lock. A local user can trigger a concurrent unbind condition to cause a denial of service.
