Vulnerability details

The vulnerability allows a local user to cause a denial of service.

The vulnerability exists due to use-after-free in batman-adv distributed arp table handling in net/batman-adv/distributed-arp-table.c when processing DHCP ACK packets. A local user can trigger skb buffer reallocation and subsequent access through stale pointers to cause a denial of service.
