The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to inject arbitrary LDAP filter elements.

The vulnerability exists due to LDAP injection in the legacy jdk1.4 LDAPStoreHelper when constructing LDAP filters from untrusted input. A remote attacker can supply crafted input to inject arbitrary LDAP filter elements.
