Vulnerability details

The vulnerability allows a local user to cause a denial of service.

The vulnerability exists due to improper resource allocation limits in the EROFS LZMA decompression stream pool when mounting an EROFS image. A local user can mount an EROFS image containing LZMA dictionaries to cause a denial of service.

Each LZMA stream can preallocate an image-supplied dictionary of up to 8 MiB.
