The vulnerability allows a local user to cause a denial of service.
The vulnerability exists due to a race condition in the KVM SEV debug encryption and decryption routines when processing encryption or decryption operations for SEV or SEV-ES guest memory on SNP-enabled hosts. A local user can trigger concurrent access to a temporary-buffer page to cause a denial of service.
