Vulnerability details

The vulnerability allows an attacker with physical access to cause a denial of service.

The vulnerability exists due to improper initialization in the ALSA FCP notification handler when initializing FCP notifications on a device with an optional UAC2 status interrupt endpoint. An attacker with physical access can trigger FCP initialization to cause a denial of service.
