Vulnerability details

The vulnerability allows a local user to read out-of-bounds memory.

The vulnerability exists due to an out-of-bounds read in xfs_attr3_leaf_verify_entry() when validating crafted XFS attribute entries. A local user can provide a crafted name index to read out-of-bounds memory.
