Vulnerability details

The vulnerability allows a local user to trigger a race condition.

The vulnerability exists due to a race condition in private priority-inheritance futex handling during exec() when a task executes exec() after robust-list cleanup and before switching to a new memory map. A local user can execute a program that uses private priority-inheritance futexes to trigger a race condition.
