Vulnerability details

The vulnerability allows a local user to cause a kernel splat.

The vulnerability exists due to improper type validation in the huawei_report_fixup() function when processing a uhid-created device that identifies as being on BUS_USB. A local user can create such a device to cause a kernel splat.
