Vulnerability details

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to cause a denial of service.

The vulnerability exists due to a null pointer dereference in the RTSP message parser of gst-plugins-base when parsing authentication credentials in a crafted RTSP Authorization header. A remote attacker can send a specially crafted Authorization header to an RTSP server or an application using the RTSP message parser to cause a denial of service.
