The vulnerability allows a local user to disclose sensitive information.
The vulnerability exists due to an out-of-bounds read in Microsoft Office Word when opening a specially crafted file. A local user can open a specially crafted file to disclose sensitive information.
The Preview Pane is not an attack vector.
