Vulnerability details

The vulnerability allows a local user to cause a denial of service.

The vulnerability exists due to improper memory-region selection in the xe framebuffer display page-table allocation path when allocating display page tables. A local user can trigger display page-table allocation to cause a denial of service.

On systems with a media GT, accessing stolen memory while the GT is in MC6 can add latency.
