Vulnerability details

The vulnerability allows a local user to cause a denial of service.

The vulnerability exists due to improper input validation in zram deflate parameter handling when processing user-supplied deflate winbits. A local user can provide an out-of-range deflate winbits value to trigger BUG_ON() and cause a denial of service.
