Vulnerability details

The vulnerability allows a local user to cause an out-of-bounds read.

The vulnerability exists due to improper input validation in the corsair_void_raw_event function of the Corsair VOID HID driver when processing malformed status and firmware events. A local user can provide a malformed status or firmware event to cause an out-of-bounds read.
