Vulnerability details
The vulnerability allows a local user to cause incorrect waitid request handling.
The vulnerability exists due to improper handling of cancellation in the io_uring waitid callback when canceled task work is executed through the fallback task_work path. A local user can submit a waitid request to cause incorrect waitid request handling.
The fallback path runs from a kworker rather than the task that submitted the request.
