Vulnerability details

The vulnerability allows a local user to read data from the following control area.

The vulnerability exists due to an out-of-bounds read in the dm-pcache tail-kset read operations in cache_replay(), the writeback worker, and the GC worker when reading tail ksets near the end of a cache segment. A local user can trigger an affected tail-kset read to read data from the following control area.
