Vulnerability details

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to cause a denial of service.

The vulnerability exists due to improper resource release in the mt7996 TXP skb unmap handling for AddBA request frames when processing AddBA request action frames. A remote attacker can repeatedly initiate associations to cause a denial of service.

The issue manifests under continuous client reconnect churn when WED is enabled.
