Vulnerability details

The vulnerability allows a local user to cause a runtime PM reference leak.

The vulnerability exists due to improper resource release in the imx415_s_ctrl VBLANK control path when handling VBLANK control operations. A local user can cause VMAX programming to fail after a runtime PM reference is acquired to cause a runtime PM reference leak.

The issue occurs only when programming the VMAX register fails.
