Race condition in Linux kernel - CVE-2026-89831
Published: September 17, 2026
Vulnerability details
The vulnerability allows a local user to interfere with checkpoint or garbage-collection thread scheduling state.
The vulnerability exists due to a race condition in the f2fs critical_task_priority sysfs store path when writing the critical_task_priority sysfs attribute during filesystem remount or teardown.
