Vulnerability details

The vulnerability allows a local user to cause a denial of service.

The vulnerability exists due to a race condition in the AMD KFD MES queue management code when evicting or suspending MES queues while DMA descriptors are in flight. A local user can trigger queue eviction or suspension while in-flight DMA descriptors access unmapped memory to cause a denial of service.

The issue occurs during SVM page migration.
