Vulnerability details

The vulnerability allows a local user to cause a denial of service.

The vulnerability exists due to use of an uninitialized variable in the drm/amdkfd svm_migrate_copy_to_vram function when migrating a VM range containing a hole from CPU memory to VRAM. A local user can trigger the migration of such a VM range to cause a denial of service.
