Vulnerability details

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to disclose internal service responses and modify internal systems.

The vulnerability exists due to improper enforcement of DNS lookup and proxy controls in the Node.js HTTP/2 adapter when handling requests with httpVersion: 2. A remote attacker can supply a request destination that causes a direct connection to a destination blocked by configured DNS lookup or proxy controls to disclose internal service responses and modify internal systems.

Exploitation requires an application-level trust boundary in which user-influenced URLs are constrained by axios lookup or proxy policy.
