Out-of-bounds write in Linux kernel - CVE-2026-93122
Published: September 18, 2026
Vulnerability details
The vulnerability allows a local user to write past the end of fixed-size sampling-rate arrays.
The vulnerability exists due to an out-of-bounds write in the UAC1 and UAC2 configfs rate-list store paths when parsing comma-separated sampling-rate lists containing more than ten entries. A local user can write a crafted rate list to a UAC configfs rate-list attribute to write past the end of fixed-size sampling-rate arrays.
