Vulnerability details

The vulnerability allows a local privileged user to trigger a use-after-free.

The vulnerability exists due to a use-after-free in the Mediatek pinctrl GPIO chip registration code when unbinding or removing an affected driver module. A local privileged user can remove an affected driver module while its GPIO chip remains registered to trigger a use-after-free.
