Vulnerability details

The vulnerability allows a local user to cause data inconsistency.

The vulnerability exists due to improper handling of exceptional conditions in the Linux kernel md RAID1, RAID10, and RAID456 personalities when processing REQ_NOWAIT write requests. A local user can submit a write request that succeeds on one mirror while another returns EAGAIN to cause data inconsistency.
