Vulnerability details

The vulnerability allows a local user to cause MSI writes to be dropped or misrouted.

The vulnerability exists due to improper synchronization in MSI handling in dw_pcie_ep_raise_msi_irq() when remapping the MSI iATU entry after the Root Complex changes the cached MSI target address. A local user can trigger MSI interrupt handling to cause MSI writes to be dropped or misrouted.
