Vulnerability details

The vulnerability allows a local user to transmit packets with incomplete checksums.

The vulnerability exists due to an unchecked return value in hinic3_tx_csum() when checksum calculation fails for unsupported tunnel packets. A local user can submit an unsupported tunnel packet for checksum processing to transmit packets with incomplete checksums.
