Vulnerability details
The vulnerability allows a local user to set an unintended socket power limit.
The vulnerability exists due to improper input validation in the hsmp_hwmon_write() power cap handler when processing negative power cap values. A local user can write a negative value to power1_cap to set an unintended socket power limit.
