Out-of-bounds write in Linux kernel - CVE-2026-90083
Published: September 19, 2026
Vulnerability details
The vulnerability allows a local user to cause a denial of service.
The vulnerability exists due to incorrect Ethernet header length handling in the Linux kernel IFE traffic-control action when processing a packet redirected from a non-Ethernet device to an Ethernet device at traffic-control ingress. A local user can redirect a packet to an Ethernet device with an IFE action on its ingress hook to cause a denial of service.
