Vulnerability details

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to cause a denial of service.

The vulnerability exists due to improper packet-header alignment in the stmmac RX path when processing received network packets. A remote attacker can send an ICMP echo request to cause a denial of service.

The issue affects ARM32 systems where NET_IP_ALIGN is 2.
