Vulnerability details
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform directory traversal attacks.
The vulnerability exists due to input validation error when processing directory traversal sequences within the libarchive component. A remote attacker can trick a victim to visit a malicous website or open a specially crafted file and create arbitrary files on the system.
