Vulnerability details
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to cause the application using the driver to terminate unexpectedly.
The vulnerability exists due to an out-of-bounds write in the connection-monitoring logic when processing name-resolution results and responses from hosts named in a client's connection string. A remote attacker can control name resolution and responses from those hosts to cause the application using the driver to terminate unexpectedly.
