Vulnerability details
The vulnerability allows a local user to cause a denial of service.
The vulnerability exists due to a use-after-free in the Wave5 media driver when an IRQ thread accesses active stream instances during instance release. A local user can trigger the release of a stream instance while IRQ handling is in progress to cause a denial of service.
